I don't have kids but recall as a child all I wanted to do was be outside playing and adventuring. I was fortunate enough to grow up in the countryside so there was plenty of places to go for hours on end and this was pre-internet so I wasn't glued to a device.

@Tillymint Oh the non-internet childhood days were the best! I was the same, on my bike, making dens in the local woods, and playing at the park endlessly.

Family Bike Rides with a Picnic planned as a half way stop sounds a fab low cost idea though! ?

Hi everyone just seen these posts, i have a daughter in Hull university and was wondering if there was anything she could do also and i have two nephews (twins) nearly 3 now any ideas for them and their mum. Thankyou for any help?

Hey Rebecca,

Fantastic post having two kids my self a 5 year old and a 2 year old i know how hectic half terms can get but there great opportunity's to take the kids out and make some memories, My kids love animals so this half term ill be taking them to the zoo now that lockdown is over,

If your stuck indoors though let me just say your never to old to make a home made fort ?
